The Cyprus Research and Educational Foundation (CyI), Republic of Cyprus
The Energy, Environment and Water Research Center of the Cyprus Institute (CyI-EEWRC) was founded in 2005 and is rapidly becoming a scientific resource for the eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East and North Africa. The CyI-EEWRC was established in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a collaboration that includes in particular the launching of a common research program - hosted at MIT - as well as a program for graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. The CyI-EEWRC represents a gateway between the EU and the region for addressing energy, environment and water issues. The CyI-EEWRC has been established in the framework of the Cyprus Institute (CyI), a novel non-profit research and educational institution, which will also include the development of several research centres in other fields, including biology and economy.
CYL´s role in the CLICO project
